WATER-BASED IMPREGNATING AGENTS IMC-IMP
The IMC-IMP series of water-based impregnating agents are ready-to-use and easy to apply by spray, brush and roller.
They are ideal for interiors, such as for the realization of wooden products, attics, beams, ceilings, beading and walls; and for exteriors, such as wooden buildings, garden sheds and furniture, gazebos and fences.
The IMC series, suitable for softwood and hardwood, offers classic semi-transparent colors.
The IMP series, suitable for softwood, proposes modern semi-covering pastel shades.
Made with the best outdoor pigments on the market, they create a protective barrier and preserve the wood, enhancing its natural beauty while respecting the environment.
Specifically designed for outdoor furniture, they ensure excellent wetting of the surface, provide excellent color uniformity, and guarantee excellent long-term stability and UV resistance.
As indicated in the “EXAMPLE CYCLES,” for greater long-lasting protection, you can prime the impregnating agents with two coats of OA1201 Water-Based Top-Coat. For exterior use, we recommend tinting the top-coat with the same impregnating agent at 5% concentration for the IMC series and 3% concentration for the IMP series. The same top-coat is also available in a lacquered version, with reference to the KEMILAC, RAL, NCS catalogs and custom colors.
For a white extra-coverage effect in a single coat on softwood, we recommend using IMV1102B White Impregnating Agent, which ensures uniform color and prevents the release of wood extractives. It is particularly suitable for attics, beams, ceilings, beading, and wood walls.
The shades shown in this catalog were created with two coats of impregnating agents on a fir surface.
The final effect may be influenced by various factors, such as: the kind of wood chosen, application conditions, coating system and any dilutions.
Therefore, adequate preliminary evaluations and preventive coloring tests are recommended.
